First Aid Instructor
Teaching First Aid is about making the world a safer place. Instructors in the First Aid program give their students the confidence and knowledge to respond appropriately in emergency situations. They teach the latest first aid techniques and procedures, providing students with valuable tools to preserve life in the event of an emergency.
To become a First Aid Instructor, candidates may take an initial 32-hour training course. If the candidate already holds a Lifesaving Society First Aid Instructor certificate, this training will be 16 hours in length.

First Aid Instructor (16H)
By becoming a First Aid Instructor, you have the opportunity to contribute to the sharing of first aid knowledge in an engaging, enjoyable, and rewarding environment. You will be able to teach the majority of the courses in the first aid program and train the responders of tomorrow!
This 16-hour training is designed for holders of a Lifeguard Instructor certification and anyone with experience in pedagogy. If that’s not the case, don’t worry! You just need to take the First Aid Instructor training (32 hours).
Prerequisite: At least 15 years old and General First Aid certification.
First Aid Instructor (32H)
By becoming a First Aid Instructor, you have the opportunity to contribute to the sharing of first aid knowledge in an engaging, enjoyable, and rewarding environment.
This comprehensive training covers the material of the 16-hour course and includes a pedagogical component. It allows you to teach the majority of the courses in the first aid program, thus training the responders of tomorrow!
Prerequisite: At least 15 years old and General First Aid certification.
AQUATIC EMERGENCY CARE INSTRUCTOR/DEA
Once a candidate has met the prerequisites, he or she can be certified as an Aquatic Emergency Care/AED Instructor (for a licensing fee). The ALS Instructor teaches and evaluates Aquatic Emergency Care.
