The Lifesaving Society Launches Monthly Virtual Meetups!The Lifesaving Society is proud to announce the launch of its monthly virtual meetups throughout 2025. These sessions are designed to inform, engage, and strengthen our connections with affiliated members, lifeguards, instructors, and the general public. Each meetup will provide a unique opportunity to learn and share on various topics related to aquatic safety. At the start of each session, we will introduce the topic of the month, followed by an open Q&A period to address your personal questions and everyday challenges.

Modification to the First Aid Certification GuideIn connection with regulation M-9, r.2.1, which states that in the absence of a first responder, any person may administer naloxone, either intranasally or intramuscularly, to a person experiencing respiratory depression and significant altered consciousness due to opioid administration, we have made some modifications to Item 19c - Poisoning. It is therefore possible to take a few minutes during the General First Aid training to demonstrate how to administer naloxone to the candidates.

MEMBERS’ GENERAL ASSEMBLYNOTICE OF CONVOCATION - All members in good standing, as of April 25, 2025, of the Lifesaving Society* are hereby duly summoned via email and through the Lifesaving Society website to attend the Annual Members’ Meeting to be held on Friday, April 25, 2025. This meeting will be conducted in a HYBRID format, both in-person at the Maison du Loisir et du Sport, 7665 Boul. Lacordaire, Salle Saint Laurent (2nd floor), Montreal, H1S 2A7, or virtually. The Teams link will be sent later to members registered for the meeting.
