Is training different for girls?
Égale Action, an organization dedicated to the representation and participation of women in sports and physical activity, has developed a unique workshop in collaboration with Waterpolo Québec.
“Les particularités des filles en entraînement” targets coaches as much as anyone else involved in the sports, physical activity, education or health fields. It tackles the characteristics of training for girls first by addressing the psychological and social factors that need to be considered when training girls in comparison to boys. The second part of the workshop focuses on the various ways boys and girls communicate, and how these differences impact training.
The workshop will be held at the Regroupement Loisir et Sport du Québec in the Olympic Stadium on Saturday, February 11, from 9 am to 4 pm. The cost of the workshop is $20, but coaches collecting NCCP points may pay an extra $20 to obtain 6 points.
